who?

i am lone peep, a canadian artist originating from the northern wilds of red lake, ontario.

i spend a lot of time walking, camping and sitting in nature. with respect to the land around me, i collect, use and repurpose nature items and found objects for my art. 

my core influences include cree and ojibwe art, pennsylvania dutch folk art, haitian and jamaican folk art, and the group of seven. i'm also highly impacted by animist principles (earth magic) and spiritual/religious perspectives of every kind.

the biggest impact of all comes from spending time with nature.

along with being an artist, lone peep is also a musician, bodyworker, mother and writer. she enjoys dancing, coffee, steam and sauna, and great friendships.
